Project Description

Natalie Johnson

ANYA Teacher

A great joy in my life is to bridge the gap between my physical and intellectual sides. Another great joy is brownies. I believe that when we analyze the body and our movement, we understand ourselves on a deeper level and incite internal change. It is the deeply nuanced and analytical approach of the ANYA method that draws me to practice and teach its movement. Class at ANYA is more than a workout–its an engaging, meditative experience that serves all movers and delivers power and peace in the body.

I love teaching Pilates Mat and Equipment at ANYA, and always invite a sense of humor, curiosity and focus to my classes. I graduated from Bowdoin College with a BA in English Literature, and a minor in Dance. Outside of ANYA, I work as an artistic director and choreographer of a dance company, and am an aspiring, amateur cat photographer.
