F1. The Secular Self

Faculty Sketch

F1. The Secular Self: our identity, personal profile and public image—the one who has a social security number, fingerprints and a birth certificate. The Secular Self is our human existence as seen from the outside-in perspective. To “affect alchemy,” the Secular Self acknowledges the level of ambiguity associated with the “unseen” realities existing within. Invoking awareness begins with learning how to make modules (information containers), codify points and fidget mindfully within this process. Practicing awareness by actively noticing this inner data will—over time—begin to transmute feelings of ambiguity-related doubt or uncertainty to awareness-inspired feelings of detection and clarity. During this phase of change, we can study the lives and works of Joseph Pilates, Yogananda and Ida Rolf for guiding wisdom. To further cultivate the acknowledgement acuity of our Secular Self, we can repeat the Sanskrit mantra “jai,” master the namaste mudra and study the yantra the golden access. Stand Tall! Face the day, awaken the real” becomes the living slogan. When inner and outer reality exists as love, the world rest gently in the palm of our hands
