Anya Touchwork
Touch Ups
From traffic jams to long lines to crowded subways, the hustle and bustle of modern day life not only takes a toll on our health but also takes up a lot of time! Too much stress and tension can build up in our system, creating more traffic, long lines and crowded pathways within our mind + body connection. In cycles, we run ragged and get more and more tuckered out –like trying to sprint on a full belly, our thoughts, feelings and movement become sluggish and cramped. Over time, day to day strife can pose obstacles to our inherent flow. Like a foggy film, this congestion obscures the organic beauty bestowed within each of us.
In this light, it’s easy to see how making appointments for self care get lost in the shuffle.
At Studio Anya, we proudly announce a solution that we affectionately call “Touch Ups“. Our 10 & 25 minute healing routines inspire an overall spirit of well-being. Based in Thai-Massage, sessions take place on a mat and feel like the best yoga class- all the stretch and tone without the work. Make an appointment or just stop by — chill out for a bit with some tea and a good book or get back on the move — either way, we’ve got your back — we know you are busy — and we are here to make your life feel lighter and more productive.
Our team of bodywork Artists, melt away tension and stress. Like sculptors, we are masters of proportions– establishing center, lengthening lines and equalizing the parts within the whole in order to restore harmony and reveal beauty. In the process, we also sooth tired feet, stressed out shoulders and tight hips and have been known to heal achy heads, backs and souls too…

Anya Thai Bodywork
The origin of Thai bodywork is over 2,000 years old. It combines rhythmic massage, acu-pressure, yogic stretching, gentle twisting and energy work. Stimulating and balancing the flow of healing energy within the body, it opens the areas which are blocked and brings the body deeper into balance by relieving muscular tension, improving circulation and also boosting the immune system. Through facilitated stretching and dynamic movement both practitioner and receiver allow for a symbiotic relationship to take place as energy circles reciprocally back and forth. Thai bodywork is a golden vehicle that further opens doorways to even deeper cultivation of the body/mind connection. Whether one is seeking relief from mundane afflictions like sitting at the office chair or encouraging the body to find a greater range of motion with or without injuries, the Thai template will invite the potential for profound self-healing to follow.
Anya Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese healing art that reduces stress and promotes relaxation and healing by improving the flow of energy throughout the body. This energetic flow, also known as “life force energy”, is what flows through us and sustains life; it is created by the movement within our cells which in turn emanates an electromagnetic field from the body. Most often, when the body undergoes trauma or stress, it will hold onto many of the related feelings and reactions within the body instead of releasing them. This “holding on” causes energy to build and collect throughout pockets of the body, impeding the natural flow of energy, creating imbalance, and sometimes physical afflictions. Through a series of hand postures/placements, Reiki treatments work to clear the imbalances by restoring the natural flow of energy. This deep healing work leaves the receiver feeling calm, relaxed, and a connection to body and mind with greater ease.
